 Robert R. Nielsen
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Bob Nielsen is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Century Aluminum. Nielsen came to Century in April 2006 from Tanimura & Antle, Inc., one of America's largest privately held agribusiness companies, where he served as executive vice president, chief administrative officer, general counsel and corporate secretary since 1993. Prior to this he served as a director and partner with the law firm of Howard, Rice, Nemerovsky, Canady, Falk & Rabkin. Earlier in his career, he held the position of vice president general counsel and secretary with the food, consumer products and real estate company Castle & Cooke.
A native of Australia, Nielsen holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
